Metropolitan Construction Group prides itself on our people and creates an atmosphere of growth and accomplishment that insures that we hold onto our most valuable resource, our staff. We realize as a builder our company is only as good as the people in the field and the office responsible for the everyday operations of our projects. We also understand that in order for our field people to achieve their goals our office staff must provide quality support.
Our corporate office located in Port Jefferson, Long Island, provides executive oversight and administrative support to our project teams in the field with strong centralized management and controls.

Our President, Kent Katter, started with The Benjamin Companies, a premier Long Island real estate development firm as an assistant superintendent in 1990 and became Vice President of Construction in 2003. In 2005 Mr. Katter founded the Katter Development Company and the Metropolitan Construction Group and has been a fixture on the Long Island Development scene ever since, creating a sense of place in every new neighborhood that he has built. A guiding force behind Metropolitan Construction Group Mr. Katter has brought a strong sense of integrity and responsibility to all aspects of the company. By focusing our firm on client service and making all departments accountable for customer satisfaction, Mr. Katter has been the prime factor in making our customers into repeat clientele. |
